Hi Friends!
Sneaking this in just under the wire, as summer is just about to officially end. How's yours been, by the way? Hopefully not too hot. Mine has been filled with friends, family, travels, and love. There's so much to be grateful for, and I'm counting my blessings.
Since my last missive, I made my official debut with a book launch-style workshop at The American Book Center in Amsterdam. Thanks to all the lovely folks who popped by to participate or just say "hi." I also traveled to Washington, D.C., to present a session for Division 10: the Society for the Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts, at the American Psychological Association's 2026 conference. Woowee! Feels like things are getting a bit fancy.
But my takeaway from both? It's really all about love.
All the folks who showed up to cheer me on at ABC. My mom and sis, who made the trip to D.C. for moral support (and some sightseeing!😉). My wonderful family (both British and American) and friends, near and far, who believed in me. I was so scared about presenting at APA, it's such a huge, academic conference, but the Muse worked her magic, and attendees told me they were truly moved by the session. (Special shout-out to Nadja Filtzer, my amazing public-speaking coach, for helping me get out of my head and reconnect to my heart!)
So it was all worth it in the end, because you can't change anything if you're not brave enough to try. And it sure helps a LOT when you've got love on your side!
I'm gonna keep this one short and sweet, 'cause it's a busy, wild ride these days. But I do really hope I'll see you at one of these upcoming webinars, workshops, or courses! Two are happening this week, so if you're in need of a little Muse kissing, don't miss 'em!
