Believe it or not, you are an artist. Every action you take creates and colors your life, like a paintbrush transforming a canvas into a work of art. If you choose the unbeaten, creative path, there are no paint-by-numbers to follow.  To live freely and fully by your own heart’s beat, you need a courageous, intuitive, collaborator to help you navigate all the wild twists and turns of the journey. Someone wise and inspiring to guide you in making a masterpiece of your life.

In other words, you need a muse.

The muse is a mirror of your inner artist. She reflects your innate creativity, wisdom and power—to manifest a masterpiece or a mess. It doesn’t matter whether you dabble with watercolor, or cake frosting, write poetry or prose, or can't draw a stick figure to save your sister—kissing your muse will illuminate your authentic path to happiness, and help you navigate along the way.

Think of this course, then, as both a compass and map for your own life’s messy, magical, creative adventure.* Over the next six weeks, you will kiss half a dozen distinct muses, through self-reflective “kissing practices'' in collage, mixed-media, and expressive writing. Approach each encounter as playfully or seriously as you would any romantic entanglement—simply flirt to find out what makes your want to muse sing, make a long term commitment to a particular dream or desire, or simply “drop-in” to choose, chart, or change your life’s course. By embracing each muse as your intuitive truth, you can reframe your life’s plot twists and rewrite its storyline to make more empowering, value-adding, hope-filled choices that change you, and the world, for the better.

Week by Week

Each week you will receive a unique “kissing practice” and writing prompt correlating to one phase of your creative adventure, and a particular muse.  You will also receive additional kissing practices (writing prompts and expressive art actions) to fan your creative flame. You can use these to deepen your personal creative practice or to develop a specific project. The first kissing practice will take place over ZOOM, so we can meet each other and I can guide you.

*The Messy, Magical Creative Adventure is a repeating cycle that moves through 12 different muse phases. This course, “ANOTHER Messy, Magical Creative Adventure” covers phases 6-12. It is not necessary to go through each phase in order or to complete the entire cycle to benefit from kissing your muse. Like the moon, we are always whole, even when partially shadowed. No matter what phase we’re experiencing, we can look up (by looking inward) and rediscover our place in the universe.

Week One: Diving Deeper: Kiss Your Lost-in-Limbo Muse

• Plus additional kissing practices, prompts, reading & poetry to inspire and support you during the Diving Deeper phase of your creative adventure.

Week Two: Dark Ordeal: Kiss Your Surviving Shadow Muse

“Tame your dragons with vulnerability, courage, and compassion.”

• Core kissing practice: invocation meditation, muse mirror collage, kiss & tell writing prompt for Surviving Shadow Muse.
• Plus additional kissing practices, prompts, reading & poetry to inspire and support you during the Dark Ordeal phase of your creative adventure.

Week Three: Enlightening Epiphany: Kiss Your Hopeful Healing Muse

“Rejuvenate and illuminate new possibilities.”

•  One-to-one 1/2 hour personal coaching session with the instructor

• Core kissing practice for Hopeful Healing Muse.
• Plus additional kissing practices, prompts, reading & poetry to inspire and support you during the Enlightening Epiphany phase of your creative adventure.

Week Four: Determined. Comeback: Kiss Your Balancing-Both-Worlds Muse

“Move forward by fueling your to-do list with love.”

• Core kissing practice for Balancing-Both-Worlds Muse.
• Plus additional kissing practices, prompts, reading & poetry to inspire and support you during the Determined Comeback phase of your creative adventure.

Week Five: Transformative Test: Kiss Your Zen Warrior of Love Muse

“Reveal your truth with grace, wisdom, and courage.”

• Core kissing practice for Zen Warrior of Love Muse.
• Plus additional kissing practices, prompts, reading & poetry to inspire and support you during the Transformative Test phase of your creative adventure.

Week Six: Sharing the Elixir: Kiss Your Full Moon Muse

“Share your creative gifts in community.”

• ZOOM session: FEB 19 (10:00 am-12:30 pm, Pacific Time Zone): Creative Celebration Feast for Sharing the Elixir
• Core kissing practice for Full Moon Muse.
• Plus additional kissing practices, prompts, reading & poetry to inspire and support you during the Sharing the Elixir phase of your creative adventure.
